Hi, I’m Emma Henterly. I went to school for journalism and work in communications, but I realized that my love of storytelling goes beyond the written word when I picked up my first DSLR camera.

I believe that everyone should have great photos of the things that matter most to them, so I work with every client to find a package that suits their needs and fits their budget. I love working with families and kids, but I’m available for for engagement and product photography as well.

One question I get asked a lot is, “Why ‘Elfie?’ ”

Before I got married, my initials spelled “ELF.” It’s a cute little quirk that I miss terribly, so I decided to pay an homage to it in my business name. I thought it also would convey to my clients a sense of whimsy. I’m not a super-serious commercial or wedding photographer. I’m the photographer who will let your toddler throw grass at me and pretend not to hear the whoopie cushion your child sits on just before the shutter clicks. I’m the goofy photographer and I’m proud of it.
